Growth in Green Valley is at a moderate to steady pace - with active adult new construction continuing in the neighborhoods of Quail Creek, Canoa Ranch and Las Campanas.
The access to and programming of recreational activities throughout the community is centered around Green Valley Recreation (GVR), a private nonprofit corporation the operates 13 recreational centers for 12,000 households and 20,000+ dues paying members. Many say that GVR and the state of the art recreation facilities were a determining factor in their choice to retire and relocate to Green Valley. GVR offers exercise & fitness facilities, arts & crafts classes, performing arts & theatre, organized social events, trips, special interest clubs, and so much more! GVR is managed by a staff of professionals, led by an executive director, and governed by a volunteer board of directors elected annually to a 3-year term. Several standing committees meet regularly and make recommendations to the Board.
